The short version

TapTap does not collect, store, sell or send any of your data. Everything happens inside your browser.

What TapTap handles

• The text you paste stays in the panel on your page and is typed into the field you pick. It is never saved or sent anywhere.
• Your settings (speed, theme, panel size and position) are saved with Chrome's local extension storage on your device.

Why it asks for these permissions

• Debugger: lets TapTap send real keystrokes to the field you picked. It is used only while typing and released right after.
• Access to websites: lets the panel and the field picker work on whichever page you're on, including inside frames.
• Scripting and active tab: show the panel in tabs that were open before you installed TapTap.
• Storage: remembers your settings.

No tracking

TapTap has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no third-party code. This website doesn't use cookies or trackers either.
